A Journey of Excellence Since 1949
St. Patrick's Catholic Nursery and Primary School Igbogila Ipaja, Lagos started in the year 1949 by Rev. Fr. Oflin. Fr. Oflin, seeing children moving about with nothing to do other than playing around, began bringing them together to teach them.
These children were the indigenes of Igbogila and Ayobo. He made use of a mud and thatched roof building. At that time, the population grew to fifty pupils with five teachers headed by Mr. Bankole E.B.
The greatest transformation of the school came with the elevation of St. Patrick's Catholic Parish on November 27, 2005, which brought in the first pioneer Priest, Rev. Fr. Paschal Obioma CSSp. He started constructing a two-story building which he completed in less than one year.
Rev. Fr. Oflin established the school with 50 pupils and 5 teachers
St. Ferdinand took advantage of the location and restructured the school
Rev. Fr. Paschal Obioma CSSp began construction of two-story building
Rev. Sr. Mary Gladys Ogbuehi (Immaculate Heart of Mary Sisters) appointed as Head Teacher
School received official Lagos State Government approval

Following the Archdiocese of Lagos guidelines, all staff undergo written and oral interviews conducted by the Head Teacher.
No teacher is allowed to transact any business that will attract payment from the learners. No levying of money of any kind to the learners by the teachers is permitted.
